Dominoes Pizza

"Quality Control" is when your pizza is being cut and checked for inconsistencies in the base, wrong toppings, poor itemisation etc. 98% of orders are delivered in under half an hour, they take between 10-15 minutes to be made and cooked so they're not really sat there not being delivered.

The national deal this week is £7.99 collected £9.99 delivered, some may be doing it cheaper but that's down to the store itself.

If you have a problem with your pizza, call them - I can guarantee you'll get a refund or a replacement.

Dominoes is definitely the best take-away pizza I've had, and I've had a fair few. :P Though I must admit I've yet to try out Papa Johns, but it's on my list!

Only problem is, I rarely get it anymore because in London you're looking at a good £4 on top of the price for a pizza.

I have never paid and refuse to pay full price from Dominos even though it is nice. Have always used vouchers or mainly the "2 4 Tuesday" offer.

I ALWAYS do a quick google search for dominos vouchers before pressing the buy button.

I'm loathe to spending full price on my order. Usually get at least £10 off a £30 order. :)

Not ordered a dominos for at least 2 years now.... Bought myself a bread maker (cheating I know) to make the dough, and haven't looked back from making my own since. Costs a lot less and other than a little planning ahead so the dough has time to rise, doesn't really take too long...

Tonight's was spicy ham (decent ham, chilli flakes and peppadew peppers) with home-made pizza sauce (tomatoes, onions, garlic, herbs and pepper).

do you cook the base in the bread maker?

or do you make the dough in the bread maker then make the base yourself with a rolling ping and then stick it in the oven?

what bread maker do you use or recommend?

Just make the dough in the bread maker. No rolling pin needed, it comes out the right consistency to stretch it to about the right size/shape to go on the pan.

I have a Panasonic SD-256. I'd probably not have bought one originally, but it jumped out when it was on offer about half price) in my local supermarket. Now I have it, i'd definitely replace it with another if it ever broke.

Dough needs these ingredients (to make 2 bases) and takes 45 mins. Ideally you then need about another 45 mins after stretching it out for it to prove.

Yeast 1⁄2 tsp
Strong White Flour 300 g (11 oz)
Olive Oil 1tbsp
Salt 1tsp
Water 170 ml

Well went to dominoes for the first time as I mentioned last night, and the best part is i got it for free! They had to remake the pizzas so was waiting for 20mins which i wasnt really bothered about, so got it free.

One thing though, the sides were disgracefull, i'm so glad i didnt pay nearly £7 for them. The chicken was soggy and the wedges were stone cold, bashed up and hardly any of them. Having said that the pizzas were very nice, so i'll know to skip the sides next time. Maybe something to do with the fact it was bedlam in the shop.

I really like the BBQ one they do but they are far too expensive, and like PeterNam, my girlfriend makes amazing pizza from scratch so we never get a takeaway pizza.

The sides probably went cold from keeping you waiting so long. I've had sides a number of times and they've always been completely fine for me. I love the mozerella sticks and the chicken kickers.

Why did they have to redo your pizzas? Did they mess up the toppings? Burn them? Drop them on the floor?

Agreed sides are great veggie combo and chicken strippers. Don't get nachos at my local one :(.

As someone else said if you can be bothered phone up and they'll offer you free stuff. But it's too much effort. I wish I was a complainer.

Work's out at £21.99 without any deals on but it's by far the best combo I've had there :)
