Domino's pizza finger test

Pizza Kitchen is the best pizza place in Derby, or Chaddesden if you want to to be more precise. The pizza there are cheaper, not by much but still cheaper than all the big companys. Lots of people around her swear by them and I have to agree. Not even entertaining the idea of going elsewhere whilst there are open.

Got a Dominos on Monday night after this thread.

Usual branch is good but last night I popped in, saw the two boxes and sides box ontop sitting all alone and was ignored by the young girl on the till.

She strolled up and answered the phone to what sounded like a complaint, she went and got the manager who took the phone whilst she walked away to the back, then the manager walked away. Completely blanked.

My Mrs then came in as she was moaning about where i'd parked, went and parked out the way and came back to no pizza. Finally the girl making the pizzas came over the served us with her gloves on.

Doesn't take a second to acknowledge someone and say you'll be a minute or even if I'm busy with one customer in work I'll ask what it is they are after incase it is something really quick.

Sounds like they weren't adhering to Dominos standards, the OER inspections require all customers to be at least acknowledged with a smile within 9 seconds.

Never had a problem with this one, even on Tuesday nights at the new premises or the smaller old one.

Probably just the timid looking manager not controlling young staff too well.

Don't you just love BS like this that these companies come up with. The staff they employ are mostly kids on min wage only working there for extra money while in sixth form/college etc who couldn't care less. And quite frankly, that's all they can attract to work there.

If companies want their staff to take their BS policies seriously, they should employ proper people on proper contracts with decent pay.

I always feel a little sorry for some of the staff in fast food establishments - they pay isn't all that great unless you manage to get into upper management , the food they mostly make it just follow the guide garbage so naturally a lot of complaints which no doubt I bet gets directed towards the poor sod on the phone, due to the low pay I bet most have little to no care in what they are doing... But when drunk junk food like Dominos sure does taste good sadly.

I sometimes order a Papa Johns once a month, they tend to supply an ok ish junk food pizza with a chocolate brownie with the 33% off deal, makes the entire meal around £14.50 for a large meat pizza with dessert. Delivered. If I'm having a few drinks on a weekend I don't have my daughter and I can't be bothered to cook then yeah it fills a gap whilst watching a movie.

Never had a pizza I'd call I couldn't consume, but sometimes you do think - yeah no care went into making this, and some of the cars the drivers arrive in, its their own car you can tell, and you just know they are just about making a living from it.

I personally find buying a pizza base from Sainsburys and adding your own cheese and toppings etc is a much, much better pizza at home, but I can't always be bothered to make it, or even go buy the stuff. and when drunk, takeaway pizza is just the best.. lol

All of my staff enjoy the job, otherwise i wouldn't have them working there. They are paid fairly and have a great working environment, standards are attained by teaching staff to take pride in the job.. As Shankly said.. "If my only job was to clean a floor, i'd want my floor to be cleaner than yours".

I'm amazed by those light up Dominos signs, you only ever see them attached to truly dreadful cars.
A tiny % of drivers use the car-toppers, they recieve bonus mileage for doing so, so i'd imagine the people that do use them (none have in the 13 stores i've worked in) would quite like the extra money.

Dominos is a bit of a rip off tbh... if you live in a large city there will likely be independent places where you can have a much better pizza as part of a sit down meal and still pay less than the cost of a dominos takeaway.

Prove it.

I’m not seeing the part that says pizzas for £3?

Their website address is on the front of the menu and they can also be found on Just Eat, so whatever the pizza prices are on those two sites then half it. Simples.

I now want a 10' cheesy garlic bread with my order over £10... tbh, with how hungry I am, I'd probably qualify for the over £20 deal...

I would suggest that ten feet of garlic bread might be a bit much to handle. Although I guess it depend on how wide it is.
