Doom 3 - BFG edition

Not so sure of the replay value of Doom (1) or (2) - I don't remember Doom 2 as I think I was probably still playing Duke Nukem 3d over a datalink cable. :)

Doom 2 came out before duke nukem 3d so I think your way off.

The replay value of doom 1 and 2 is 10x the replay value of doom 3.

Doom bfg is looking like a stellar purchase, 3 brilliant games in 1 bundle. All of them classics.

Can't wait for this, Doom 3 is one of my favorite Horror games and hopefully sink some hours into this and the new content :D.

there are some fan created engines for doom 1/2 much better effects

I always thought the psx version was miles better than the original, even though it only had around half the levels. I couldn't bear the music in the pc version, but loved the playstation tracks.

If there really is new and worthwhile content, I'll pick it up when it's in a sale. No reason for me not to.

I could quite happily forgive the lack of levels in the psx version of Doom thanks to the soundtrack, i remember playing it late at night, wearing headphones, & all of a sudden hearing babies crying, it sent such a chill down my spine.

Track 18!, thats the one!.

I'm looking forward to the extra levels, but as far as I can see, there are no graphic improvements in the PC version. Any real news on this?

I expect there'll be menu support of widescreen resolutions, though. I wonder about eyefinity.

it is in HD so no more messing to get right res of old game . theres quite a good mod scene behind doom and i can see some great mods being done to this

zombies done right on this would be epic.

Is this out on Steam yet?

Favourite franchise ever and would happily play it all again.

The final boss of Doom II still gives me nightmares lol.

One of the few fps I really enjoyed on the PS, that soundtrack is awesome. Not sure it's worth getting though if you've already got it all for PC, as far as i've read there's no improvements to the PC version, just the conslols.
