I felt the same way about Doom 3, weird huh. I found it far too dark and boring and not really a good follow on to Doom 1 and 2.

I played the BFG Edition of D00M 3 at Eurogamer in with headphones and 3D glasses. It was very immersive; I'd get it if I had a rig.

Isn't this meant to be a Steam game? GMG shows activates on Steam yet Steam still has the old Doom 3 in their Store..

It's Steamworks so I guess it doesn't matter when Steam get it but I was hoping to see pricing before I commit to anything.

I mean i'd be pretty narked if I bought it somewhere else and Steam offered it cheaper.

I was actually hoping for some kind of upgrade edition for those who already have Doom 3 but I expect that's out of the question.

Exactly, Steam still want something like £13.99 for the old Doom 3, Game has the best deal as you get a free copy of Rage that you can resell.

Use to really enjoy Doom 3 back in the day! Played in quite a few competitive online tourneys (PCZone 1v1 2v2). I might give this a whirl.

Multiplayer in Doom 3 was actually rather good assuming your computer could handle it and the connection was rock solid.
