Just got an e-mail for dota2, asking to fill in a survey before they sent batch 1 of the beat keys out, any one else got this, hotmail says its suspicious?

i got one sounds like they are going out to everyone who said they were interested in the beta.

nothing happens when i click the link... just opens steam and nothing

oh it says you might need to restart your steam client if you havent for a few days ... nope still nothing ...meh had to manually check for an update and it found a 31mb patch

Don't worry, looks like anyone receiving a beta key will also get 2 giftable keys too :)

Although the hardware survey only picked up 1 of my 6950's for some reason...

It is legit, i took the survey and after you have done it tells you they are rolling out invites through out the week. People who get invited can also invite 2 friends.

It's legit, there should just be a question at the top though asking if you have played DotA before or not though. I hadn't a clue what I was answering.

I got the email, hopefully they give out the keys soon as I only have time to play it until the swtor beta starts back up.

I tried pasting the link in IE and it worked.

btw if you didnt get the email try clicking this
steam://takesurvey/1/

i have a feeling anyone with a steam account can take the survey

I got something similar yesterday for diablo 3 saying I had a key and that i needed to send them the following details including password but the email seemed genuine.

I did not send anything as I am not stupid but the email was a [email protected]

They asked for
* Name:
* Battle.account name:
* Password:
* Country:
* E-mail Address:

Seemed way too dodgy.

P.s just looking I have the same email from steam, is it ok?

No, obviously not. Why would you ever need to provide your password?
