Iv got a double barreled surname and never had any trouble at school with it 
(and yes i went to a massive comp, full of more bully-able than me thankfully).
If you double barrel then, hyphen them!! my parents didnt and it confuses EVERYONE, showing that anyone in any sort of form reading position has the IQ of a peanut
(iv got bank cards whith about a third of my name on annoyingly). The only real problems that came out of the name was trying to sign up for barcleys internet banking, as they just wouldnt allow me to not have a hyphen.....
Of course spend some time to see if any cool(ish) initials come out of the name combination too, my initials (minus the middle name as i never use that) come out at PMC
