The last time I had double glazing was 1985.
At the time there was a programme on TV going through all their sales techniques which was helpful when we called salesman in.
We are now in the market for new windows and door at the front so the first to come today was a bloke from Euroseal.
I said before you start I don't want a hard sell, you give us a price and that's the price, I don't want you ringing your Manager to see if there are any deals and then you magically get it down by 33% etc.
He did all the sales techniques, he offered my wife the pretty pictures, he had me helping with the measuring, he rang his Manager saying we can use it as a show house for the product.
He then rang his manager again asking when it can be done, "we can do it May 28th and 29th but to get it at the reduced price they have to sign now".
During all this I'm putting my head in my hands or going outside to play with next doors cat.
It was 90 minutes before I kicked him out, I can't believe I sat there that long listening to the same stuff I heard back in 1985.
So the price for just the front windows and door was £27,500 but if they could take photo's and put an advertisement board up they would do it for £15,900

I would have been telling him to find a new show home.
