The ironic thing being without the coke it'd just be Ricky 'the peoples champion' on one of his regular benders, it's just this time in addition to the perfectly legal and socially acceptable nicotine and alcohol he took a drug with arguably less damaging side effects that is arbitrarily 'illegal'.
Find it hard to be shocked too, coke is rife amongst the celebrity and moneyed classes, he was just stupid to get caught.

Meh, they are all doing it but that is pretty shocking how much he snorts in one go, he must be on it all the time to take that much, I love how having money and nothing to do turns these sports/celebs into lonely people that have to ruin their body with drugs.
Looks like he's on a downward spiral.

Well, this isnt really a great shock is it? Considering the abuse he has given his body throughout his career, a bout with drugs was never too far away, I doubt its the first time either, especially considering the size of those lines he is hoovering up. However, don't see what the big fuss is about, he was never a great example to youngsters (ie the way he ballooned in weight and spent the months between fights out on the lash constantly) and its not like he can't afford to do it. If Ricky Hatton wants to stuff charlie up his nose then fair play to him.
Female boxer I believe..
must have been seriously drunk to not being able to avoid a punch from a body builder and counter. Given he's world class.

He's not in the ring.. if he's not expecting a punch.. then how in god's earth is he supposed to "avoid and counter"?

He's a bloated mess, some sports stars do tend to bloat up but its usually a case of being used to eating while in heavy heavy training, which will be several thousand calories more than your average sitting around on your arse calorie need, then once you stop training you still eat the same.
Ricky was always a bit of a joke, he'd have been a FAR fitter and stronger fighter, faster, better stamina, better able if he kept not on his fighting weight but close. 70% of his effort before every fight must have been on losing weight as opposed to training for the fight, found out the second he faught anyone good, crushed when he had fights with the best.
Crappy "friend" though, its one thing to go and tell his wife and try and get him help, its another to invite him out and FILM him then go straight to the papers.
Then again, maybe the wife/family knew about the drugs and did nothing/couldn't do anything, maybe publically shaming him can get him to stop taking drugs, maybe its not such a terrible thing. The friend though didn't say that was the case.
Was never impressed by Hatton, seemed a nice enough guy, but an almost ridiculous athlete and never a very good boxer, just when at fighting weight, faster than the a bunch of other not very good fighters.
Then again, he made a crapload of money, in a job he liked, while eating what he wanted and if he enjoyed it. Bit of a waste but if he enjoyed himself, who cares. Thing is though, people who get into drugs tend to become unhappy and unable to be happy without continued drug use, it doesn't really seem like he is enjoying himself, getting into random fights, getting knocked out, paranoid, weird, unable to live normally, problems with family.

He's a world champion that has spent the best part of his life learning to avoid punches and give back! His fighting instinct would have normally kicked in and it should have been more than easy to avoid! ESPECIALLY if it was from a body builder.. Not exactly known for their agilty are they. He must have been completely off his face !
Especially from a body builder? What an odd comment. Not all meatheads are the sort with no flexibility. Look at most of the big doorstaff these days, there are lots that are proficient in some martial art.
Given we don't know how drunk he was, or how drunk the bb'er was, it's hard to comment on him taking the punch better.
Also if he went over a table and landed on his head, remember that a pub floor is significantly harder than a ring floor

Sadly this was always going to happen with Hatton once the boxing career was over his weight was going to balloon as it was only fights keeping him down and like most boxers once the crowds arn't cheering for you anymore you start looking to other places for thrills.

At the end of the day, people are suckers for money, £100k to grass up some boxer or footballer, what do you expect, some people are skint and will see nothing in putting some multi millionaire sports star in the gutter press.
Take higgins for example, he knew what he was doing, he came out saying he never took a bride in his life and was it fear of his life, what planet do these celebs think we live on.
