Yeah, Just played on it this morning. Found the gameplay alright, got a bit boring at times, especially when one team is significantly weaker than the other. Also, its a nightmare to find a server with a free space, especially with the broken server browser. I also agree with the comments about the vehicles, it feel to me like you aiming a pistol rather than a gun barrel in the titan. And it takes too many rockets to bring down a cyclops.
 
Just wondering how many of you people on the beta actually have played ET before or going to ETQW with a clan or something?

Will I be beaten by birch twigs because Ive never tried ET? Soz Q3 CTF ruled my life for a while :p

I didn't play W:ET and seem to do quite well, and seeing as you played Q3 you should be quite at home with the speed of movement, etc.

Think of it as a cross between BF2142 and Q3 CTF and you should be in the right mind-set :)
 
Do I mention now that I havent played any of the BF games either ;)

Im enjoying it - just doesnt seem as easily organised as I hoped - really depends on the quality of your team mates - I guess Im not that good yet either...

Played Tribes2? Been getting a Tribes vibe when playing too...

I've found that as well... there's been many a time when I've had no cover when trying to build the EMP disruptor, only to re-spawn and everyone's dancing around the hill top spawn trying to snipe someone!

I can see this game being reallllly good with organised clan teams.

I just installed and checked my key was ok. Graphics look allright but how do I invert my mouse and also I couldnt alt tab out properly so I had to quit it allready

Played Tribes Vengence offline recently - see what you mean - largish maps and varying classes of player...

Click the link in my sig and put your details in there - might help to try and get together to get more organised - Im always game...

Definitely can select it in controls near the bottom where the mouse sensitivity is...

Use Alt+Enter as per all Quake games to window it instead...

Quick question what type of modes do you guys play with, which timing modes etc, basically which console commands do you enter before you jump on game?
