cmds can also be entered on the fly through the console ( CTRL + ALT + ~ ). Any cmds entered this way and preceded by 'seta' will be permanently written to the etqwconfig.cfg and will not need entering again.

If you have a G15 keyboard you can do com_unlockfps 1 and com_unlockfps 0
(locks the fps to 30 and unlocks it), i have those 2 set to g13 and g14 and ui_showgun 1 and ui_showgun 0 set to g16 and g17, that way i can toogle the commands off and on when i want with a key press.

It has been out since Monday and the game will auto update when you open it to play, so there is no real need to download the patch, unless you really want to

"Lastly, as announced in the recent developer chat on IRC, we are currently planning to release a major revision of the Public Beta called Beta 2, which includes a brand-new map. I’ll have more on Beta 2 in a future blog update, so keep checking back for that."

I've only played it once or twice since the previous update. I'm waiting for beta 2, and hoping for a vast improvement in hit detection.

Just do what i do and dont use your gun, do everything else, got over 300 xp for the 3 rounds as a Strogg constructor, or play as a Soldier and use ** rockets to take out the enemy, ive never had more than 1 star in light weapons.
