DPD are slow

There is no such thing as the perfect courier company. You could easily find another person just like you that has had flawless service from DPD and finds Citylink intolerably bad.

It's almost as if there is a national strike on the postal service and the couriers are extra busy or something.

Spot on. I always ensure I only buy from companies where I can use a courier which I know provides good service in my area.

I'm anxiously awaiting my 5770 at the moment.

Does their online tracking update as soon as it's delivered or is it only when they finish their round? I'm having it delivered to work and I keep having to go down to security and check.

DPD have always been great for me. Always had my orders delivered within the stated 24 hours.

On the other hand I tried Hermes this week when ordering from myprotein, it took them 5 days :/ I'd rather pay the extra £1 odd and get next day delivery.

Sucks.

Never had a problem with any deliveries from DPD or Citylink. Citylink was more convenient for me if i needed to go to the depot, but it's a small gripe.

Probably something to do with your area, the drivers are monkeys or that particular depot isnt on top of it's standards.

Write a letter to head office if you think it'll do some good.

dpd for me always come about 4 pm ish, city link about 10am, city link for my sister 3pm, she lives 2 miles away, it all depends where you are on the round, 4 or 5 different zones for each van

DPD have been ok unless I get something sent to work, then its a game of guess where DPD delivered my package.

i aim to avoid citylink at all costs, the courier a company uses pretty much determines wether i will shop there at all after my awful experiences (not just one) with city link

I had an OcUK order arriving today via DPD, my first experience with them and it arrived before mid day, i still prefer DHL to any others though, always have a good laugh with the DHL drivers when they deliver to work

a free bacon roll with every delivery? :D

It's the individual Depot's/drivers I think, my deliveries from DPD are a bit up and down. I ordered a new motherboard a couple of months ago and it turned up next day delivery no problems at all. Then two weeks later I placed an order and DPD failed to deliver 3 times, saying they had put a card through my door (they hadn't) - turned out 3 different drivers couldn't find my addresss (even though they have delivered here before). After this they annoyed me further when a parcel was due, so I phoned them first thing in the morning and actually booked in a collection from the nearest depot, the woman even gave me two numbers which I would need to get the parcels. So what happens? I take time off work to drive there only to find out both parcels have gone out for delivery! Saying that though - Last week I had a large order from OC which turned up in the morning with no problems.

Utter rubbish ... it doesn't matter if you are paying for delivery or not, if you are having to take time off work to wait in for something to delivered and it doesn't turn up on the day that it's supposed to then of course you care.

Plus you're still paying for it, it's just included in the price. 'Free' is a word used far too often!
