DPD are slow

Not had a problem with DPD; Not had any courier problems ever actually touch wood. DHL drivers do seem pretty friendly, take their deliverys a lot at work.

Whoever Amazon use can be a bit confusing, I was tracking a parcel online and it reported that it had not been delivered and I should rearrange another delivery time, I rang home just to double check and it had actually arrived.

Man I ordered a netbook 24 hours~ ago and tracking says it's on the van right now.

Not bad for free next day del.

Your slowness is a unique experience or maybe you didn't spend enough at OcUK :p

On the other hand I tried Hermes this week when ordering from myprotein, it took them 5 days :/ I'd rather pay the extra £1 odd and get next day delivery.

I'm not happy with them at the moment. I was told a parcel would be out to me on Tuesday and there's still no sign of it :(.

I'm in one of few areas where CityLink are spot on, always before 10am and know the driver really well, but then we are getting deliveries pretty much every other day :p
Only once had an issue and it was when an item got put into a secure cage for some reason, depot didn't know, drivers didn't know and we couldn't get it out until the next day

DPD have delivered a few times to work, a bit erratic, one was at 8am, another at 3pm :/

DHL are fine, so are Business Post. Royal Mail on the other hand are different, sometimes they just don't even turn up :/

I've had no issues with any courier company, however that could be due with the majority of items getting delivered to my work. My house is in a bad location so I'm a little lenient when it comes to deliveries however nearly all of them are next day.

DPD are great for me - not a single problem so far.

Get a DPD delivery every day to the office - know the driver quite well now as it's the same guy every day.

Only courier I've had major problems with in the last few months is UPS - useless!

As mentioned in another thread they delivered my W7 on time.

I haven't really had issues with them or any other... I think the only one that's ever given me issues is city link once.

used them a couple of weeks ago trhough OcUK. I knew I was going to miss the delivery but they left a card, gave them a ring when I got in and they let me book a time to go pick it up from my local depot that night at about 7:30pm.

Only minor critism I have is trying to find a bloody phone number on they're website. I had to google for it in the end as the number on the card is purely automated and hangs up on you if try and get put through to an actual operator.

In my experience, DPD are quite good.

All couriers are very busy at the moment due to the postal strikes. You honestly would not believe the impact it has on us all.

With courier companies I think it depends strongly on the people at the local depot. I know a lot of people had problems with citylink (back when OcUK used them), but my neighbourhood was always first on their route, and I would usually get my packages at around 8am. I've only ordered twice from OcUK since they switched to DPD, and both times the package has arrived in the afternoon (not that this is a problem or anything).

I guess the issue is that if you happen to get a lazy postman / delivery driver in your area you will feel like you have been let down by the entire company. I've been lucky so far.

I've not had any problems with them so far *touch wood*, I've got another few bits on the way for monday I hope.

I must be lucky - or live in an area with fairly decent depos, because I've never had a problem with any delivery service yet (touch wood, again)

I've just fallen foul of DPD's incompetence. I arranged to have a parcel delivered today. I took a day off work so that I could receive it today. But the driver has clocked off work before delivering it. I don't know how it is for delivery drivers, but aren't most normal people expected to actually finish their work before clocking off?

I now have to wait for them to deliver "some time between 9AM and 1PM tomorrow". Wow, thanks for being nice and specific there. It's not like I have anything I need to do tomorrow.

I would imagine most people do what they can in their specified working hours and then go home. It's little different for delivery drivers.
