Dragon Age Inquisition Performance Benchmarks

Go right ahead, because I have made it very big on here about frame latency and how Mantle is a smoother gaming experience.

I have never once said it's because of the min frame rate.

Frame latency and FPS are two of the same, didn't Andy already go into detail with you on this?

I would search for your mumblings, will be too busy tonight playing this game knowing my minimum FPS is higher than yours :D

There not the same thing and if you really want to learn something go and read back what I posted showing why there not the same thing and you'll see. I even tuck screenshots and compared it to the frame latency I was getting and they was not the same results.

Go right ahead and find that thread and we continue this on there OK? Or I guess you just say I have no time bah, bah

But he isn't and he is spot on.

He's not, Frame Rates are not the be all and end all of latency, its constancy of fame rendering, if your reading 60 FPS it does not mean every frame is rendered at a time frame of 16.6 ms, the end result is measured in averages.

The only way to tell what Latency you're actually getting is to read the Frame time individually.

Mantle has better latency not just because it it boost Min FPS where the CPU is the bottleneck but also because it stitches the frames together better than DX.

Look at the recorded frame times here, the Green line (DX CF) is the one with erratic frame times.

This one is AMD vs Nvidia in DX, they have the same frame latency.

@ Tonester0011 i thought you said you weren't serious about a 0.2 Frame rate difference, i'm confused, why are you still banging on about it?

SLI 980s got a better score than quad Titans at 4k?
Guessing your usage was pretty dire.

No, 4 way 980s got a worse score than the Titans @4K lol

Just run the game maxed out to see what the VRAM usage is @4K

Another few mbs and it would have hit the buffer on the Titans.

The problem for the 4gb cards I think is all the VRAM it uses (and the game still looks very average).

I think the 8gb 290Xs will be good on this.

The 980s @1080p stock do something like 132fps 4 up and beat the Titans easy but @4K the Titans come out on top.

Yeah this title seems to want more GPU power it would seem.. That isn't a bad thing either pushing PC hardware is what we want..

How does the game look and bench when you dont use the max texture setting?

I have not tried it on lower settings yet but it does not look very good on the max settings.:)

I have to agree. All the demo's I have seen don't look anything special to me. I am not dissing the game but it just doesn't llok that great if I am honest.
