Dragon Age Inquisition Performance Benchmarks

Aww bless, nvidia was top of a benchmark and there's an outcry, now we have a cherry picked benchmark with amd on top and it's all right on OCUK again.

We will know for sure in a few hours time what is what.

The truth is with different resolutions and numbers of cards like a lot of benches no brand tends to win everything.

Thanks Kaap! I question GameGPU results...

I question why you question them. They ran the bench that the game comes with, so why would they falsify results? They seem to be pretty fair as time has gone on and AMD win some (not many) and lose some (quite a few)

I think I was hitting the VRAM wall hard @4K but will test properly when I get the Titans out.

Next job I will get this loaded up on the 290X PC and see how it goes.:)

Btw Kaapstad, Ultra isn't best quality on texture quality. There's one more level on that called "Fade Touched"

Thanks

I will use that later in the proper benchmark thread.

When I run the 290Xs though I will run the same settings as I used above.:)

I hope my shiny new X2 can pump out enough glorious frames :) still got this downloading cos my internet is junk lol. But cant wait. I was downloading Fc4 but stopped after reading about the performance woes and stuttering etc. it's only Far Cry 3.5 anyway.

Kinda wish I had gotten a physical copy. I normally do but it was £26 digital and £40 from Amazon. So that was quite quite a gulf, if it's just a few £ I'd grab the hard copy everytime.

I just wish devs would have give some more love to this benchmark. Even if it's constant, it's ridiculously bad compared for example benchmark in Thief. In that game it atleast gives you good sense of visuals and the beauty in general.

In this game it's like playing prologue with fast forward option, leaving you clueless and confused with nothing but brown skidmarks in your pants. And ofc with minimun/average values :)

Conclusions

Taking into account that the EVGA SC 980 has a 10% OC out of the box.

1080p performance on a single card was just about even.

4K on a single card was a win for the 290X

4 way @4K was again pretty even.

4 way performance on both setups was rubbish both visually and fps performance wise, both AMD and NVidia need to work on this.

You know, its funny how different reviewers come up with utterly different results to each-other seemingly using the same in game benchmark.

Then someone completely unbiased comes along running the same benchmark and results similar to some review benchmarks and different to others.
