Dragon Age Inquisition Performance Benchmarks

It's all about the minimums i've been told.

4k is unplayable regardless, but 1080p where the minimums are higher on DX it shows DX is smoother than Mantle.

Since when has it been about min fps? You making that one up? Because frame latency has nothing to do with min frame rate if that's where you taking this.

Don't forget I am using a 4930k so the different is going to be very small.

What was interesting was @4K on a single card the Mantle run was visually the best by some margin.

My point about frame latency :D Mantle is just better at everything even when that frame rate is lower.

Some people on here just can't get that into there head though.

Thanks kaap.

You've always made a song and dance about how minimums frames are more important and how Mantle is the best at bringing those minimums up, as it gives a smoother playable experience.

No I haven't lol making things up I see. It's true mantle most of the time gives higher min but that don't mean what game is performing better.

Arguing over 0.2 FPS you really are clutching at straws Tonester0011, thats just plain silly.

Step back for a minute and look at what you're saying.

Those mimunum differences were so small that if you just rerun tests they can be otherway around. There's difference in having 10fps or 0.5 fps variation.

You know, often its difficult to tell when it is that you believe in what you're saying or are just "Trying to wind us up" of course its easy to say "i was only joking" after one has realised one looks a bit of a ####

Spot on. When nVidia were in front, I clearly remember Shankly saying it is about the minimums...Might have to search for it :D

You clearly know me too well :o
I wasn't arguing over 0.2fps, more over the fact Shanks has (time and time again) told everyone how important those minimums are, and how Mantle reigns supreme over smoothness.

He'll try and deflect though and say it's more about frame latency though

Go right ahead, because I have made it very big on here about frame latency and how Mantle is a smoother gaming experience.

I have never once said it's because of the min frame rate.

He's just winding us up Greg, did you not get the memo? :D

But he isn't and he is spot on.

Nah, I have more important things to do and really CBA. :D
