Dragon Age: Origins (CE)

Does anyone know if the prices on a certain Game retailers website are the same as their store prices? Would rather pick it up in town on the day of release with Royal Mail being as they are, though if it's an extra tenner in the shop I don't mind waiting an extra day or two.

Guys please be very careful with competitors, the above listed ones sell products OCUK sell, which means your breaking the rules and may get your post deleted or a temp ban.

Just star out the company.

do some of you want to be the next Zefan? if so

I think most of us just want the Games forums to remain open by reminding people to not break the rules.

Do not mention competitors, do not hint at competitor names. Agree that it's kinda frustrating when a particular competitor has a super-special offer on a game but thems the rules, and it's not like these forums have to have a games sub-section.

So do the likes of Tesco, Asda etc. (though these guys pose far larger competition than the companies mentioned above). But just do a quick search and you'll see these are regularly mentioned throughout the forums.

If I were to say "XXXX are selling a certain CPU for £10 less than Oc - Here's the link..." Then I totally agree, but the above seems a little extreme.

Meh

its simple, when you made an account with Overclockers you did so by agreeing to their terms and conditions, therefore you must comply with them fully... when members kindly tell you not to name competitors they are doing you a favour not themselves.

OT : surely using the 25% discount code (found in the massive Dragons Origins thread) and buying the Deluxe version from EA Store is the best option with the most extra's..,

That wasn't my point, re-read my first paragraph.

In others news: Looking forward to getting this one, though don't think the CE warrants the extra £££.

my intention is to not single you out, but to just let people in general know that, like others have stated, naming competitors in any way can have repercussions, its upto to 'the poster' whether you adhere to the rules or not.

VoucherCodes.com25% unless I'm very much mistaken. Got me the DDE from EA for £29.99 - preload will be available, though EA don't seem to understand the question when you ask them when, so I'm thinking half a crate of Relentless on Nov 5th and a Brevel, kettle & mini-fridge for milk in my bedroom.

Got mine pre-ordered on Steam :D

Do you feel good about paying more than you had to? Or did you get the base edition and miss out on what essentially became free DLC dungeons, extra character, music & wallpapers & 'making of' films, bonus items and the privelege of joining the superior DDE-owning elitist nazis?

I've just looked over my posts on this thread, and I have come over a bit green and slimy. I'll stop that now.

I'm really hoping I can register this with Steam when I download it. I'd much prefer to download through Steam if/when I reinstall at a later date, but I couldn't resist that voucher purchase. Hopefully it won't back-fire on me.

Ordered the deluxe from EA. Thanks for the voucher, I couldn't be bothered searching in the other thread for it.

Does that voucher still work? VoucherCodes.com list it as expiring 26th August of this very year, but I used it to preorder about 2 weeks ago, and I got Burnout Paradiese and C&C3 for £3.74 each when they were doing their £5 deals. Let's hope they don't catch on anytime soon.

I saw a review of this game in a magazine yesterday but dont know a lot about it!?!? - Is it a FPS-type game or more of a Titan Quest top-down sort of thing??

;)
Did you read said review?

No, (thats why I put "saw" rather than "read") - was in a shop being eyed by a daft looking security guard! :D I just read it got 94% and was the "RPG of the decade"!?!?
Just wanted a bit of basic info - sorry to have offended your delicate sensibilities! ;)

I shall henceforth research the game before posting more silly questions..... :D
