The google wifi was connected into the Draytec and was to be the primary wifi, only using the Draytek's wifi for a SSID dedicated to Sky Q (It won't play well as the google mesh conflicts with Sky's). Sonos was plugged into the google primary unit. This set up worked fine with the old Draytec, on hopeless speeds though thanks to the limitations of the BT Openreach infrastructure.

The main reason for not using the VM Hub 4 for was to do with vpn setttings, but my IT man thinks these aren't an issue anymore. Consequently I have disconnected both the google wifi and the Draytek. Sonos in connected into the VM Hub and everything is working. I am getting wireless speeds of 450 / 50 in most of the house, the worst room it drops to 150 /40 but that's light years of what I was getting before so I'm happy.

It's still a mystery why the Draytek and google wifi wouldn't give decent speeds, but all's well that ends well.

Thanks for you time and input, greatly appreciated.
