Dredd trailer

I loved it. Also echoing the comments about the soundtrack, really punchy and industrial fitted in very well. It had as much attitude as Dredd!

Watched it on Wednesday, was excellent IMO. Then watched the original on thursday at home and it paled in comparison (although I still love it in an 80s cheese way).

I think this has been mentioned on here already but the soundtrack during the film was spot on as well. It really went with the vibe of the film.

Listening to it now on Zune so it's probably available on all other subscription services to!:D

Saw this on wed with the missus in 3D on a Vue extreme screen. Thought it was brilliant but not as cheesy as the original Stallone one, which i watched a few nights before i went to see the new one.

I thought the 3D was superb, one of the best 3D movies ive seen recently and i dont watch many of them.

One thing i didnt really like was the slo mo action scenes, thankfully it was very little but still found it a bit silly in all honesty.

Definitely getting this on blu ray when its released. I thought Karl Urban was pretty good as Dredd.

Went again last night with another group of mates - so awesome even second time round. It just seems to work, I cant explain it but its entertaining all the way through.

The music with the bike chase at the start sets the tone of the film well, so cool.

Thought this was fantastic, proper 18#s as well which is nice but its sad to see that 18 films just dont seem to be making the money.

I have a question about the ending, how do I do that spoiler edit thingy!?

Found it lol

When she says about the bomb being tied to her heartbeat/ pulse and he throws her out the window, is he just calling her bluff when you see her "splat" and the light turn red and nothing happens?

Signal distance. Too far and too much mass between.

Ahhh

I know he said about range, but, jsut a slight let down really, from the start you knew thats how she would be killed lol

Was going to go and see this tonight but decided against it as I'm not a 3D fan and object to being forced into paying extra to watch it when i have no choice in the matter. Got half a mind to 'source it' by other means as a protest against the distributors as apparently, according to Odeon at least they have no say in what films are shown at their cinemas and only play what they're given!?

Not given both 3D & 2D showings at your place? We always get both here at Middlesbrough's Cineworld

THats pretty much rubbish on their part.
Sounds like they think not enough would come see it and not make a return on it.

I'm not a fan of 3D, but this film's use of 3D was the best I have ever seen, loved the way it switched between different people whose brains were seeing time and events unfolding at different speeds.

It's a pity this film is looking unlikey to make it's money back at the box office, really wanted to see some sequels :(

Its not just box office though as it will make more on DVD/Blu Ray. I think it will make a profit in the end.

No way it's making its money back.

It's made give or take £4m in the UK and around $6m in its opening week in the US. Other regions have contributed a couple of million. The US gross will do well to reach $15m. All in that optimistically suggests a total of $20-25m vs initial budget of $50m.

Pity.
