Dremel like tool?

for cutting out windows and the like as cheap alternative and if you dont mind breaking the sweat. get a nibbler tool:)

Is that one of those hand tools like a big pair of sciccors for metal?
Thanks for the recommendation though I've cut the window out now, need something which can cut and smooth which is easy to use which is why I asked about the dremels.

That said I've found one for £25 delivered, and it's payday tommorow :D

You might get 20cm cut with one cut-off wheel, all depends on the material but they do wear pretty fast. It's best to use a jigsaw for the straight lines, It's dead accurate so you will only need to polish off the edges. Use the dremel only for cutting any rounded or corner shapes.

and are ideal to cut small or big holes i prefer to use them since i had a dremel disc explode on me and cut me cheek. i still use dremels with masks but if i have time i use nibbler

Thanks for all the advice guys :)
Day03, I've got a jigsaw, and I think that I need to use it a bit more often (i'm a bit of a noob with it!). The lines weren't completely straight :(

I love Dremels. The one i got isnt dremel, its a black and decker one (wizard i think) and is just as good if not better (uses the same bits and seems to have a larger speed range).

Only problems with dremels and the like is that you will end up going round your house looking for things to cut/drill/file/etch :)
