How can a classic car be gay?

I thought this.

But then I thought maybe it means the owners are gay?

But then I thought, why bother making the distinction at all - do we assume classic car groups that don't specify sexual orientation are 'straight' classic car groups?

Thanks for the ideas fellows.

Not sue why the GCCG exists really, been a member for years and so far have only attended one Sunday meet a couple of years ago, just fancied this weekend away.

Tweed. Defiantly tweed. Will there be a wife swap afterwards?

Hope not, but hopefully I can manage a few ogles as I am still in good shape for an old fart.

So far the party frock seems to be the winner!

Why does there have to be a specific group for gay classic car enthusiasts?
So all the lesbian, black, disabled, single parent, ginger, young, and any other minority groups can use it as a precedent for creating their own and shouting about how they're oppressed just because they have cars.... and for further fun debate over whether the Black Classic Car Club refers to the owner, vehicle, or both, and whether both is a qualifying requirement.

Its not too hard to imagine that maybe gay people with similar interests may want to meet or socialise with other gay people with similar interests and this group makes a convenient way to bring these people together.

Can you imagine the uproar if a club listed itself as the straight classic car enthusiast club.

It's not like a specifically straight car enthusiast group would have a much different turnout and therefore serve a different purpose to a normal car enthusiast group, given the turnout will still be mostly blokes

I meet with groups for many if my interests. I couldn't give a flying pig's left nut on whether the other people there are gay or straight. I don't see what your sexuality has to do with your interests in the slightest.
I'd go as far as saying if you only want to engage with people of the same sexuality as yourself then you're quite frankly a bit of a bell.

It depends on the reasons for meeting up i guess. you are describing it at meeting groups just to talk about interests. Others may just use the interest as a subject to socialise and meet other people.

You will have to ask OP his reasons for using a gay classic car group. The group wouldn't exist if people didn't have some reason to join such a group.

I also socialise with many groups which have no mention of sexuality, I merely mentioned the name of the group has it may have a bearing regarding the original question.
