Drinking at work

Zero tolerance at my work.

I always find it sad that some people get so excited about their work Christmas lunch / night out and how drunk they are going to get. For some people it really is the highlight of their whole year.

i know what you mean, but then my highlight of the year would probly be L4D2, Killing Floor and my new GPU i should get on the 29th :p

I've had a couple og Guinness' in the pub at lunch, not because it's christmas, it's just any other lunch time for me :p

Apparently the Christmas party before I started, they started off with Booze in the office before going on to a pub, 3 people were ill in the office toilets before they made it out of the office because one of our directors is a drinking game monster, and the youngsters can't keep up. :)

I spend my working life trying to avoid those people. Last thing I want to do is socialise with the cretins. And probably the same people slagging you of when your not there.

You sound like an absolute riot to work with

Even if it's Xmas or New Year.. I doubt many people would take kindly to the Ambulance Service control room drinking on a 999 call :)

At my work all the people in the London office get beer/wine put on their desks for them every Friday. But then they also have unlimited free soft drinks, a 360 & PS3 room etc etc.

We were bought a nice 42" plasma TV, that we can't show TV on because they won't buy a licence, we can't play DVDs on it etc and have to pay £1 for a bottle of coke :S

That said, we have free tea and coffee making facilities and tonight we're cooking 2 huge joints of meat for sarnies. Om nom nom.
