Drinking lots of water

Eh, chill balldog. I just meant when people start being silly sometimes the thread gets locked.

I wasnt being silly :dunno: When you go to the toilet 15-20 times a day, you start to think that way...

if anything I don't drink enough of anything let alone regular water. if I think about it I guess it's less than 1l per day. thing is, i only tend to drink when I am thirsty which isn't that often, but then when I am I drink a lot in one go. I guess you'd call it binge drinking of sorts.

I've heard it said that not drinking enough can lead to kidney and/or liver damage and to be honest I do have issues with both of these.

How much should people be drinking on average in a day?

Reclaiming all those lost nutrients and electrolytres! Good work there!

ope nothing wrong with too much water, just make sure you'r getting enough salt, as regardless to what the press says, salt is extremley important. And drinking loads will wash a lot out of the body.

if hes on a diet (depending what diet he is) then he might very well be below it, + I didn't tell him to eat more I said check hes getting enough...

The Leah Betts tragedy should have taught everyone that consuming large amounts of water in a short space of time with no other salt intake has fatal consequences :( (Well it would have had the papers reported the facts instead of a load of rubbish!)

Their are very few things in life that you can do in extreme excess without significant side-effects, keyword is moderation ;)

That was related to ecstasy, not just drinking too much water for no reason.

She believed drinking so much water would avoid dehydration after taking the drug, I don't think people go around drinking 7 litres in 90 minutes unless they are seriously concerned about dehyrating like her.

You obviously did not read the autopsy result in The Times and instead the anti-drug propaganda in gutter trash like The Sun/Mail ...etc

MDMA did NOT kill her drinking large amounts of water in a very short space of time did.... FACT. Had she not drank the water she would still be alive... FACT

She drank shed loads of water because she had been mis-educated and thought that it would make her come down and reduce the visible signs of her 'HIGH'. Her dad was a police man and very anti-drugs and she thought that drinking loads of water would hide the fact from him that she was high as a kite (the pills were good quality MDMA). Tragic chain of events that could easily have been avoided tbh.

she drank like 7 litres in less than 2 hours....the thread starter is drinking less in the space of an entire day...hardly a valid comparison..

PS, why was it a tragedy?

Thats what I said, but it was because of the drug she thought she needed to drink so much water.

If she didn't take the drug, she wouldn't of decided to drink so much water afterwards, she would still be alive. ALSO FACT.
