  • I don't like beer/lager/ale so no beer/lager/ale suggestions please
Then you don't deserve to drink, be gone with you heathen

If however you do see the light, get this down your neck

Tesco value vodka + value coke/value lemonade.

I didn't mean drunk out of embarrassment that you bought them :p. Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Oh and had a bad White Russian once - think the milk had been left out - so white russian is off the list!

Drink a drink everytime The Dude is drinking a drink in The Big Lebowski. Preferably a white russian.

My favourites at the moment are:

Kronenbourg Cru and Brewdog Punk IPA both from tescos (EDIT, saw your original post)
Also a liqueur called Frangelica is gorgeous.

I would also definitely recommend finding some good wine or a bottle of aged port. One was set down for my 18th birthday so that will be drunk next month :D

If you're into whisky and don't mind spending a bit (or hunting for it - it's not easy to come by and I've never found it online), then try and track down a bottle of Edradour un-chillfiltered 10 year. It's produced by Scotland's smallest commercial distillery (by a technicality :p) and for the year I've got sat in front of me, 884 bottles were produced (not as rare as some, but there's not a lot of it about). The fact that it's un-chillfiltered means that it goes cloudy when slightly chilled / mixed with water, as it retains the fatty acids that are removed by the chillfiltration of normal whiskys. It's got an exceptional taste and if you're into highland whiskys, then it's a must-try.

A more easily available whisky that I'm liking at the moment is anCnoc 12 year (yes, the C is capitalised). A good Speyside from the Knockdhu distillery.

I have given up Alcohol for lent, the weekends will be the hardest, sick of alcohol, doing it because I want to and see how fitter I can become.

My last drink was Monday night and I wont be having one till April the 11th :D

Canadian Club and ginger ale (Schweppes for preference) is surprisingly nice.

Definitely try Zubrowka (bison grass vodka) and apple juice if you haven't already.

There's literally thousands of cocktails you could try but listing them all would take forever.

//late edit - Laphroaig is definitely worth tasting at least once in your life as is Wray & Nephews Overproof Rum, actually you won't taste it so much as be singed by it but do it anyway.
