Drive failure statistics from Backblaze

I strongly recommend people read this blog entry from Backblaze before buying HDDs.

TLDR: Hitachi drives are the most reliable; Western Digital the worst.

Didn't read it all just checked the graph and am confused by your statement when the seagate drives have up to 19.81% failure rates compared to 8.72 on WD

Or are you just trying to make WD look back for some reason?

That table is largely meaningless as the drive count range is massive, hence take no notice of the failure rates.

Backblaze's usage is a lot different to the average user.
