Driver Letter/Formatting Question

Hi, if I was to change the drive letter with the drive being full of data, will this mean formatting the entire drive/loosing any information i have on the drive? Or is this simply a drive change and it will not affect the data on the drive? Thanks!
 
You can change the letter of the drive in disk management without losing the data, however if you have any applications on said drive they may not work correctly but for the most part its usually fine.
 
You can change the drive letter of any drive without issue as long as it's not the system drive.
