Driving a car- how can I be safer around bikers?

Crash into them, slowly remove them from the road.. Problem solved ;)

But blind spots, and 99% of motor cyclists ride fast so it's easy to miss them if you don't check properly!

Edging out of junctions before I've passed you by gets my goat, that and tailgating, there's nothing worse than those two things when your on a motorbike, the rest I can tolerate

Yet 99% of the time when I am going fast, however fast that might be, there's always some **** in a BMW/Audi trying to get past...

I remember a saying an old boss had (working in car insurance) - you can be driving down the motorway at 150mph in a ferrari, you'll still have a white merecedes sprinter 3ft from your bumper. :p

I had a merc right up my arse this morning, dropped a gear a little too early (by accident, rather than to pee him off) coming into a lower speed limit and my speed dropped like a stone.
Funnily enough he backed right off after that :D

One for the select few car drivers I have encountered this week,

Give us the same space as any other vehicle on a roundabout. We have to lean, and use more of the lane than might be apparent. Pulling out 2inches off my wheel as I pass your entrance/exit is both terrifying and dangerous - as it takes my focus off safely navigating the roundabout!

It's funny how dropping a gear and making a bit of noise makes them back off eh. Love my exhaust for that

I've never seen that one before. Just how?! Surely on the phone!

Looks like the bike was unluckily in his blind spot during that whole turn. You can't see the driver for the mirror and A post, which means the driver probably couldn't see him. Not the bikers fault at all, but shown how big other vehicles blind spots can be

The fault is with the driver for not correctly setting up on that turn and trying to take it too fast, without making sure the way is clear *before* starting the turn.
