I was quite tired today and in this tiredness i've just failed at driving on my way home from a mates.

I went round a roundabout the completely wrong way, and not a small one either, then ended up turning off at the completely wrong exit on the wrong side of the road, realising what i had done i then forgot about using my clutch completely, stalled it when pulling in at the side of the road to regain concentration.

Has anyone else failed this hard or am i just being a complete retard today?

I once parked in the middle of the car park, not in a bay, but perfectly aligned in lane where you normally drive crossing both sides :D

Brain fart ***?

We used to get a lot of that when I worked at a supermarket. People parking between aisles etc

One guy tried to park in a trolley bay too!

I once drove off with my boot open (not just unlatched it was wide open :D) was a couple of miles until I realised. Luckily the roads are quiet around here and nobody saw me.

Came off a roundabout last night, turned the gradual corner rather quickly(it's all trees, so you can't see what's on the other side) to find the entire lane blocked off for roadworks without any notice prior to coming round the corner.

Everyone else managed to merge but I was going too fast, stopping dead just before the cones. :p After that I was so peeved off (took me over an hour to get home - usually a 20 minute trip) due to roadworks I almost ran straight into the path of an merc.

Other than that, I'm usually fine. :D

Dunno if it's my failure but 4 times today I've flashed my lights to let people out on busy junctions but they haven't budged. I slow down, flash.... nothing... slow down more, flash again... nothing... virtually stopped now... still no movement. At this point it's really awkward because the cars behind me are closing fast so I've gotta stick it into 1st and go.

Thought it was my lights but seem to be working fine.

that's why you don't stop to let them go if
a) you have right of way
b) there's someone behind you

i know you're just being polite, but some people just aren't expecting it and as a result they don't move.
and you'll end up with someone running into the back of you too :p

Only once, and this was because the car spun out.

Not good, never drive overly tired.

never drive tired, overly or not.
just taking a 20 minute break can work wonders..

the worst thing i've done is notice that after a bend, the road was white, but not register it and i lost the back end as soon as i hit the snow.
ended up spinning 180 into the snow bank on the other side of the road.
thankfully the oncoming traffic was far enough away to avoid me, but it was an A road and i was doing ~40

scary stuff. morning grogginess + very worn winter tyres = failure.
and i had a colleague with me in the car :(

Nah seriously all occasions there was big enough gap behind me or I wouldn't have bothered.
