My brother has been caught speeding and had two illegal tyres, the police officer has only charged him for one tyre tho, he has now been told he has to go to court, and we just wondered if anyone knows anything about this kind of thing?? We were wondering if anyone knew what kind of sentence he would be given best and worse case scenario??

He already has points on his licence for speeding.

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Thanks

He could get a dangerous driving as he was 50mph over the limit with bald tyres

With previous points shows he hasn't learnt

hes 21, he said he was trying out his new car on the A1!!!

Any ideas how long a ban would be for??

he works as a relief manager for a bookies, and therefore travels around east anglia a lot, his regional manger has offered to go to court and put in a good word for him because he doesnt want to lose my brother!!

thanks for the info guys,

no then any idea how to get free legal advice!!!
There is no definate punishment, it'll be down to the magistrates discression. However, doing 120 is going to be a ban 999/1000 and that odd one is only if the ban will cost the person their job and have a much more negative effect on their life than a speeding punishment deserves.

He'll also get a fine.

As for free legal advise, contact legal aid (not sure on this but they'll probably not be able to help in a small simple case that's not criminal) and Citizens advise. No contact details but i'm sure google will have :)
