Driving RWD for the first time

I dont see what the fuss is about. I went from a 1.25 (73bhp?) Fiesta to a 120 Mid engine MR2 and never actually spun it. Sure I had a few moments in it but if you drive with your head and not with your feet you will be fine.

When I test drove the 320D, I can't say I had any issues at all even going fairly quickish. The Audi has the better grip though being proper AWD.

Meh, I much prefer RWD for getting out of "brown trouser" moments. A lot easier to recoever and much more forgiving due to the drive wheels not being the same as the steering/braking wheels. I find there's much better control available due to that fact alone.

Mind you, I "grew up" on RWD, so of course I'm gong to be more comfortable with it. I had 3 RWD cars before I ever even drove a FWD, then owned 5 more before I actually bought a FWD. Since then it's been a mixed bag, and I'll always prefer RWD in the slippery stuff to FWD.

Mind you, after driving the Toyota the last two winters, I will NEVER be without 4WD (or AWD) again!! :D
