You'll have to upload using your Internet connection I would imagine.

If you upload at a constant 1Mbps in theory it'll take around 6 hours.

Thanks for your response. The problem as well is that you can only upload from a camera or mobile. I have an iPhone and don't have anywhere near 2.5GB of photos on it. I wonder if there is quick way of getting round this? Don't really want to take tonnes of photos!

Another way I guess could be to maybe use a digital camera with pictures off the internet or something? Save them to the memory card and then upload?

Thanks :)

Well it would just be recording on my iPhone. So not sure?

EDIT: Someone who has been helping me on another thread suggested 20minutes in HD?

I've no idea personally.

A bit of Googling:

iPhone 4S video size per 1 min of video at 1080p (1920 x 1080):

( [1920 x 1080 x 24] / 8 ) / 1024 = 6075 KB / frame

6075 KB/frame x 30 frames/sec = 182250 KB/sec

182250 KB/sec / 60 compression ratio = 3037.5 KB/s compressed

3037.5 KB/sec compressed * 60 s / min * 1 MB / 1024 KB = 177.98 MB / min

If that's anything like accurate it'd be around 15 minutes for 2.5GB of 1080p video.

Thanks very much for that, the only thing is I have the iPhone 4. So I have changed your calculation slightly but I think its the same principle.

Thanks again!

Is the iPhone 4 only 720p?

The same site has a calculation for that:

iPhone 4 video size for 250 mins if true 720p (1280 x 720):

( [1280 x 720 x 24] / 8 ) / 1024 = 2700 KB / frame

2700 KB/frame x 30 frames/sec = 81000 KB/sec

81000 KB/sec / 40 compression ratio = 2025 KB/s compressed

2025 KB/sec compressed * 250 min * 60 s / min * 1 MB / 1024 KB * 1GB / 1024 MB = 28.97 GB (118 MB / min)

If a higher 60:1 compression ratio is used by the more powerfull iPhone 4: 79 MB / min

That would require around 32.5 minutes of video @ 720p for 2.5GB (79MB/s) or around 22 minutes if 118MB/s.

Nah just I got a random reccomendation to dropbox from tom woodward, to an email address I don't normally give out. Was wodnering if it was you :p

Oh ok, makes sense now :)

Anyway so as far as I can see they do not accept video. I can't get it to sync using camera uploads?

Not to worry apparently it is doing it, it just doesn't have a little window like the pictures do. Also turned of limit upload speed automatically! Not uploading at 30KB/s.

Also do I have to leave phone connected the whole time?
