Dropped CPU Temperature 15 °C going from top rad mount to front rad mount with RTX 3080

I will be switching back to top mount with AMD 6900XT and see what the difference in temperature will be.

I'm late to the discussion, and, after reading all 5 pages, feel I'm going against the grain by bringing this back on topic!

I've copied the temps below from the OP. I fully understand the reduction in CPU temp due to moving the rad, but I am shocked that the chipset and GPU temps have barely increased. The system is obviously generating the same amount of heat as before (same CPU and same GPU), so how is that heat now being exhausted from the case to well that the chipset and GPU are not reporting significant temp increases?

Top Mount

CPU - 78.5°C
Chipset - 56.5°C
GPU - 58°C

Front Mount

CPU - 63.3°C Dropped 15°C
Chipset - 59.5°C Raised 3°C
GPU - 60°C Raised 2°C

I do not have a good explanation all I can say is what I did. Now I have lower RPM on the fans in my system with the same setting and lower CPU temperatures. In no way did I consider either setup unreasonable or worrisome for me.

This is what I did ,same BIOS settings for Fans to ramp up at certain CPU temperatures.
