Dropped external drive :\

Dont ask how, but I managed to drop my external hdd off the desk :\. Now, it makes that notification sound once I plug it into the usb port, but it does nothing more :\.

No drive shows up in my computer etc.

Anything I can possibly do OcUK gods?

Yep. I uninstalled the drivers, restarted, and it managed to find new hardware as 'Maxtor 3200'.

Just checked device manager now and it states "Device Status: This device cannot start (code 10)"..

You could try taking the drive out the caddy and plugging it in directly. Tell you whether it's the drive that's damaged or the interface. Drive should be OK I think unless landed on a hard floor.

Its attached to a laptop so I have no way of connecting it :\. Unless you can buy an adaptor?
