Dropped my monitor :/ What to do

Dude put it down to experience.

Don't make a claim, as you will probably be hit with a excess fee plus your premiums will go up for the next few years. All insurance comapnies share claim information and you'll never escape the higher premiums since you made a claim.

Yea ok.. I have £800 to chuck around... I suppose you want to give that to me?

To be honest if you are able to justify £800 monitors in the first place I'd imagine you are not on the breadline but irrespective what else do you want people to suggest? If the monitor isn't covered by your insurance then you have no choice but to buy a new one. Only you and your insurer know if your monitor is covered or not so I'm not entirely sure what you are expecting us to tell you? :p

Guys seriously no need to take the ****, hes obviously ****ed off as u would be, would love it if the shoe was on the other foot and it happens to you now :)

Well what did he expect us to say. He said he had contents insurance, and only he knows if accidental damage like this is covered. If not....well he will just have to suck it up and buy a new one.

wtf? them posts might seem funny to you but i don't think hes finding them pretty funny, thats the point im trying to make. No need to kick someone while there down.

They don't seem to be funny to me, i'm indifferent to them. However, please see below.

Two things will happen. 1: OP has insurance, gets replacement monitor. 2: He doesn't and learns an expensive life lesson.

ITT : Guys, can you read my insurance policy because I can't be bothered.

Contacted Direct line, It is covered and i have a £50 excess to pay as it seems i put a low one on the policy.

They said i may have to pay slightly more next year but i dont mind because it will be far less than forking out £800

I have to wait for someone to come and inspect the damage and then they will sort me out a new one

I am a happy chap now.
