You tell me. All I can say is the number of times I've had to take avoiding action on idiots who haven't seen me in the Elise borders on ridiculous. With the lights on it rarely happens now. If people think it's daft then that's up to them - I couldn't care less if it stops some day dreaming fool pulling out in front again....

I'd have no problem with all cars using dipped headlights at all times and having the only other options as main-beam and fog lights. Not that some drivers know how to use either of those properly either, but at least it would be an improvement
