DS Must-have games

i have had a ds and now a ds lite for a year or two. the ONLY game i play is Pokemon, i have just racked up 180hours on Pearl edition!

i also have access to every other game they just dont last long enough, grab enough attention to detract from Pokemon, or the PC or PS3...
 
Anybody who says the DS > PSP does not own both and are not using them to there fullest.

I do and PSP > DS

This is not a fanboy post i love my DS but i'm fed up with people going on about how great the DS is and how bad the PSP is. Just silly considering you can play games like wipeout, sega Rally all in glorious 3D which isn't possible on a DS.
 
Did you miss Kreeee's list or something?

Full 3D is all well and good but it doesn't beat a sheer ton of fantastic games.

I've owned both now 4 times over and I can confidently say DS>PSP.

A. The games tend to be too involving on the PSP for on the move gaming.

B. The actual design of the DS being a clam shell is VERY useful over that of the poor design of the PSP.

C. The battery life poor is in compassion.

D. The games tend to be more fun on the DS due to the clever way they implement the stylus, games like point blank just wouldn't be possible on the PSP plus many many others.

E. The pause game feature when you close the lid on the DS is pure genius.

F. The DS is made by Nintendo, is there really any competition lol, the Wii is owning both the PS3 and 360 and it's the worst graphically, yet it out sells the competition, the DS is worst graphically and it out sells the competition, the Gameboy was worst graphically and it out sold the competition, I think they know what there doing.

Can you come up with an equivalent list to Kreeeeeeeeeeeee's? My nipper has a DS but I could be tempted to get a PSP for myself, so would like to know what (and how many) games are any good.

It's a good storyline definitely, but the slow nature of the game, and the fact that there's only ever one thing you should be doing, or one person you should be talking to, really limits it for me.

They needed to make it a tiny bit more freeform, and less forced. Knocking on the doors of people you've just spoken to, and getting no response kind of ruins the immersion for me a bit.

Don't get me wrong, I'm playing it right now, and enjoying it, but it's got a fair few bits it could improve on.

i agree with your points about knocking on doors, getting no answer even though they have just came to the door to speak to you. a bit frustrating like, but it didnt ruin it for me. i think they have made it a bit simpler than a PC point and click because its on a handheld console, normally people dont want an epic adventure, just something they can casually drop in and out of (even though i didnt do that with Hotel Dusk as i enjoyed the story too much)

Just off to work now but i'll post a list of games for PSP later :)

Until then you could always go to gaming sites.

Owned both. Sold PSP because of the lack of decent games. Doesn't matter how good a game looks. It can still be poo. Take GoW. Looks nice. SP lasted for a couple of days. MP is repetitive.

Wipeout... that's great. That's a game which is about 2 years old now. You're argument is flawed as you are saying that because the PSP has a better gfx chip that it is better than the DS.

Seen the sales of the Wii against the PS3?

I've owned both and used them both to their "fullest". You are most definitely a fanboy if you can state that opening sentence without it being an appalling joke.

Graphics do not make a game kiddo.

That's the problem with free games, you never really appreciate them.

He stated a valid comment, yours is the reply that smacks of fanboyism, sorry.

For me, they are both great consoles, we are truly spoilt these days. My PSP just recently has been getting less use in favour of the DS, which has some cracking games just recently released.

And the Wii, well mine just never gets used, at the moment its not on the same planet as the 360 for AAA titles. Graphics indeed do not make a game, but for the life of me i can't see the fun of anything on the Wii except old gamecube titles.

So anybody who has owned both and finds the DS better is apparently not using their PSP to the "fullest". What's valid about that?
