DS Must-have games

my girlfriend wants some new DS games,

she fancies this hotel dusk 215 thing, will it be ok for a simple gamer, i don't want to have to help her every 5 mins

or any other suggestions, is harvest moon good? as she likes the idea of running a virtual farm

cheers

I quite liked Harvest Moon, got a little samey after a while but still pretty enjoyable and addictive for a while :)

some of the puzzles can be tough, but she wont need any help with the controls or anything. just simply use the stylus to move the character around.

Aye, thats not condascending, ok then.
That's Kreeeee for you. He knows better than all of us, don't you know.

Just take it with a pinch of salt, it's really nothing to get wound up about.

Yes and no. Really, the only time you have difficulty in the game (apart from that horrid bowling minigame) is when you just don't know where to go next (forgetting at what point you saved is a real killer for that). That's not really something you'll be able to help with, but a quick online guide check usually sorts it.

id say that the save point thing can be easily resolved..if you just write a quick note in your notepad about what your meant to do/see next then it can jog your memory when you turn it back on.

i didnt find the bowling that hard, maybe im just ace :p

Been playing Pokemon Diamond a lot of today, and of course brain training :)

Got my first badge on Pokemon & about to go and buy my bike :)

I think I'll get Zelda: Phantom Hourglass next & then I'll check through some other games and see what I like ;)

Craig.

There is no doubting the PSP is more powerful but the way the DS is made with its touch screen and the games it has just make it so much better imo. The variety of games is massive and the way you can play against other people with just 1 cart is also an advantage.

Im not saying the PSP is bad because its a great bit of kit but just does n't have the appeal of the DS for me.

Have to recomend Puzzle Quest: Challange of the Warlords aswell, even with Zelda out I just cant stop playing it, truley is a fantastically fun and addictive game.
If you like your R-type shooters Nanostray is really good fun, I still go back to it for a quick blast.
Another one Ive been having a lot of fun with latley is Etrian Odyssey, it is by no means graphically amazing but I really enjoyed the idea of making the dungeon maps yourself with the stylus.
Kreeeee has put forward a very good list and although I havent played them all the only one on that list I didnt really get on with was meteros.
Also Elite Beat Agents is great fun especially with a reasonable set of headphones (loved it with my portaPros).

There truly is a wealth of fantastic games out there that will last you years.:D

Precisely, I'm still not sure how anyone can get offended by random people on an internet forum.

Just been playing Zelda on the train and its a great game. A bit embarrasing when I have to blow into my console on a train though :o people must think im a nutter!
