I have the same router as you and also had difficulties in setting it up, bizarrely enough i got it work by entering the name of the wireless network in CAPITALS and not lowercase, as soon as i changed it it worked? odd huh?

try updating the firmware. thats what i did with my WAG54G router. it didnt find or connect at all, once i updated it worked straight away.

also, have you got your SSID broadcasting on so your DS can find it
