DS3 AHCI - any performance gain?

i have the ahci on my 320gig 7200.10 on the intel sata controller on my ds3.... does this make it any faster than non-ahci or the jmb?

AHCI enables a few tricks like Native Command Queueing but doesn't really provide any performance improvement over normal mode operation. In non RAID mode I doubt you'll see any real performance difference between the Intel and JMicron controllers on that board.
