To whoever is reading this,

Long story short, i am simply changing isp from virgin media cable to zen vdsl 80/20.

Anyways the zen router arrived some days before and the supplied dsl cable does not fit.

Anyways to fix this i have ordered a rj 11 cable so that it can fit...

Is there anything i should know?

Anyways some pictures of the supplied dsl cable that came with the supplied router, one is rj 11 and the other end is like an ethernet cable.

Is there a microfilter in the box that the cable does fit into?

Edit: If this is a Fritzbox then the large end goes into the router.

Unplug whatever is in the other socket and try that, if it's the same then try the filter in that other socket maybe ?
I bet the lower socket is the main socket into the house as it's lower i.e fitted first and the other is something else . Just a guess.

Thanks guys, but i strongly think my service is not live yet.

The socket below the open reach one is the virgin media/nynex telephone socket.

Zen will have provided you with a date when the service will be live, if you’re trying to use it before then, it’s not going to work (unless someone has cocked up at OR).

i think i cocked up on that one, i had a email from zen that the time it will go live is 4/1/19 but at that time my router was not connected.

Yea i think i cocked up by not having the router connected because at the exchange when they turn the connection on i think i should have had my router connected.

Not an issue at all - if the service is active then start with the basics, do you have DT?

What is DT if you don't mind me asking?

I have 3 phone sockets heh.

Fantastic choice of music there :D

Try a phone in the socket, if you have a DT then you know the line is active at least.
