Dune: Prophecy

How is the emperor's (of the known galaxy) daughter going off getting layed and then his wife also doing it. 0 fear.

Mr swordsman
has been spending years to get in the position and he conveniently leaves the schematicas behind which landed in in trouble.

I'm a little bit over this now.
Most of the actors sound like they are just reading their lines to each other with a hint of shakespearean flare
I hope it gets a season 2 to keep dune relevant but wouldn't be surprised if it isn't profitable enough.
Hope episode 6 rounds up stuff adequately at the very least

Under cover for years yet endangers himself needlessly as Ragnar comes looking? And how many people does it take to stick some discs around the bar? Better not leave my secret plans in my gym bag.

Excellent! I hope it gives them sufficient time to retool and re-evaluate pacing as I think we can all agree that it was definitely a pain point.

Good news that it's been renewed but it's still not grabbing me as a must watch every week, got around to watching it last night and I'm hoping that they actually pull something good off with it next week, feels like such a waste of the IP so far.

Pretty much sums up my feelings, I usually forget a new episode is out and it’s only when I’ve ran out of things to watch for the week that I remember this is still releasing.

I enjoy the world but I’m struggling to slog through this. Might be better as an end of season binge.

Happy with that last episode and getting to see some back story for the main characters, looking forward to where it goes with s2 now, if they can make all the episodes in s2 feel like this then it'll be way better.

I will say that HBO tends to take the first season to feel out pacing and characters. As I said...While i was keen to see some more focus on the bene gesserit, I don't think a show like prophecy is serviced by entirely focusing on one thing. I feel that the story could have been better moved forward by showing the sisterhood as being more proactive in their desire to move human evolution forward through eugenics.

Just got around to watching through episode 6 - yeah I agree, a much stronger ending and probably the kind of pace they should keep the story beats as it was much easier to keep engaged. it actually kind of secured Tula as one of my favourite people in the show.

Now that was what i wanted.

3 episodes like that would have been perfect not 5 mehs and 1 nice.

a lot happened.

I welcome s2. But with come before part 3 of Dune.

If Warner are smart, they'll segment production schedules so that shows get a longer turnaround time for production and scripting so we can avoid another Game of Thrones anything beyond the red wedding scenario where it just became a rushed, atrocious mess. i'm looking forward to House of the Dragon season 3, but I genuinely want them to take their time and let it breathe. My point is that if they do so with that show and release it late 2026, they can follow in the new year with Dune, in time for (insert next WB show here).

Max (and apple for that matter) doesn't get nearly enough recognition for their efforts.

But episode 6 was some solid sci fi and set up for the future.

Rather belatedly caught up on the last couple of episodes. Really enjoyable series with a lot of potential but I still have worries about how it's all going to hang together as we going into the second season.

Also, please, screen writers, please, I'm begging you stop calling something a virus when that's not what you mean.
