It happened months ago. Just contingent on Kimi making the public announcement. Also expect Albon to Williams, and Piastri as the Williams reserve prior to a race seat in 2023 after Latifi is out of contract.

Piastri is a cracking driver with Renault connection unfortunately... Would be surprised if he goes to Williams

Piastri is leading the F2 championship. Alpine extended Alonso's contract for 2022, Ocon is in place until end of 2024, is keeping Fred honest and just won a race. Therefore no realistic option of an Alpine seat for at least a couple of years as Fred won't likely retire in 2022. Alpine/Renault don't have a customer team where they can place Piastri, as Merc and Ferrari have done with their juniors in the past. If he wins F2 he can't run again, and he won't want to sit around on his hands for a couple of years. Williams need someone with talent to replace Latifi.

makes sense. Talent but maybe Williams will want something to replace Latifi's money?

Williams family did the deal with Latifi, and they've since sold out to the venture capital people. Given they brought in Jost Capito to run the operation, they're not content to half arse it and pray driving talent gets them into Q2 and might get some points if they get lucky. Therefore the odds are Latifi is out of a Williams drive after his contract expires at the end of 2022.

Latifi isn't bad by pay driver standards, but you wouldn't make him a core of your team going forwards ... and on the flipside he's unlikely to get offered a plum seat at a better F1 team.

Isn't this one of the shortest laps on the calendar? I fear it'll be a procession with little to no overtaking.

Pretty much, yeah. The F3 and GT races I've seen here have had issues with overtaking, and you know if they can't do it the F1 guys sure as hell won't be able to. I think it's going to be a Monaco-style weekend, where the result is almost guaranteed on Saturday.
