Duvet thief

I have the same issue, i’ve thought about stitching some elastic onto the sheets and looping it underneath the mattress so that the sheets remain in place during the night.

It's when they have to have it wrapped snuggly around them and clamped in by their arms. This uses up a good extra foot or so. Completely unnecessary when coming to bed in arctic layers of clothing anyway. Then you lay there shivering in just your boxers - coz you're a man and need nothing more right? - questioning life.
I thought to one day make a point about it by bringing some scissors to bed and just cutting the whole duvet in half, or maybe a staple gun to pin it down centrally. But then I came to my senses and thought posting on OCUK forums would do the most damage. What do you know, someone's beat me to it.

At a hotel the Mrs and I were staying at in Germany, the duvet for the double bed was slightly smaller that the actual surface of the bed itself (so no over hang). Meant when the two of us were in the bed, it would clearly not cover our bodies. We thought they'd put the wrong duvet on it (like a single or small double). We were told that was the correct size (???) and so we asked for an extra and so had one each for our 3 night stay.
So no stealing that way!

Really comfy bed and a nice hotel other than that!

I feel your pain OP. We sleep in a super king size bed, with super king size quilt covers but only a king size duvet. For some reason, the quilt always moves inside the cover towards her. I end up with a foot of quilt cover with no quilt. It's like quilt magnetism.

I do petition for a new duvet, but apparently we don't need one.

I hate centre leakage! The duvet gets pitched up high when you both sleep on your side leaving the centre in the air leaking air. This is because she pulls so much of it her way the centre dip gets pulled tight pulling it up. Said area can be used as a fart tunnel though.

That's seems to be the norm over there. Also, the pillows aren't rectangular, they're square, but still very comfortable.

Damn it, its been so long since i shared a duvet, i need to either improve my chat up lines or book an Amsterdam weekend

My wife goes to bed about an hour before me, duvet is already stolen before I get into bed. I have to strategically take some back without waking her otherwise she'll flap about like a fish out of water whispering profanities so as not to wake the kids.

WTH am I supposed to do get into bed without a cover and freeze to death!

I feel better knowing there are other people who are also dealing with this kind of criminal though.
