Dying Light - PC next gen zombie open world game?

I'm on 2GB VRAM and 8GB RAM as Omakea has, and I've not had any memory issues at all, not even when I had the game running for a 5 hour straight period. Pagefile is at 8134MB.

I had a few issues that I pointed out earlier, but that seems to have been graphics related more than anything.

You using medium or high textures? i found high caused mass slowdown at start for me....so put to medium with all maxed except view distance around 60% now 60-100fps.

Anyone got any tips for killing bandits. finding them real difficult!
..oh molotovs kill em pretty quick lol!

At the start they are a bit tough and as you progress they become more trivial. Pointing a gun at them at air drops for example will make them put their hands up and run away. But once you get a gun, its 1 head shot kills and its very easy to do. The bullets for the weapons cost pennies, so i always took a gun and zombie killing device with me.

cheer shavent found much ammo for my one pistol yet, i ran out when i faced some bandits!, right now im just throwing molotovs at them seem sto get the job done!

Just finished this. Total time played is nearly 26 hours and there were about six side quests left (they were all "Collect XXX herb from XXX")

Final boss bottle was disappointing :(

System Managed so I'm guessing I've never messed with it.

And what settings are you playing on? My issues were fixed by shifting some settings to medium

Everything maxed except view distance, think textures are on medium because the setting doesn't effect texture quality only the distance they load in at.

That confirms my point then, as one fix to the issue is to drop textures to medium :p

Well the game certainly likes to make use of resources and I have no problem with this. I've been playing at 2560x1080 purley because it's pretty much a constant 60fps at max settings with everything whacked up and VSync enabled (with no mouse lag!) vs the 45~fps at 3440x1440 and with mouse lag.

I also can't see much visual difference. Maybe it's my monitor but there are no visible additions to jaggies.

Here's what i found at 2560x1080:

It's also using 3.5GB of VRAM on my 980 and maxing around 54% on the GPU core.

CPU core usage is not that high either, all 8 cores usage is distributed evenly:

As far as I'm concerned this game is optimised to make ample use of your resources. I reckon 6GB of VRAM is required for 60fps constant vsync on at my monitor's native res. A single card runs the game at 45fps so a bit more GPU power and 2 more GB of VRAM would be neat. Still, 2560x1080 in this game is flawless and everything maximum so I'm happy with that.

Went in to a fight in the museum with a brand new modified sword with just under 2k damage, come back out, get my gear back and its gone. Not impressed :(

I had my Draw Distance basically right near minimum and vsync off and motion blur off.

As i read that Draw Distance doesn't change anything and vsync lowers your frames dramatically (Which is what i found)
