Dying Light

Saw a mate playing it and it looked like fun. Was a bit hesitant about paying £55 for it from PSN... but I've got £800 worth of reward vouchers stuck on my works rewards site that I just never use. £75 worth of amazon gift certificates, got the £55 PSN wallet codes I needed to buy it.

Just finished the prologue atm. Quite like it so far, though since I've started climbing I can't help but facepalm at the way he campus' and mantles like an absolute beast without any signs of tiredness but can't swing a stick more than 5 times :p

Reviews have made me want it....but it's 3rd in the queue after Alien Isolation and Homeworld Remastered for me. I'll pick it up cheap later....

Okay guys, how the hell do you climb up and reach the Korek Machete?

I have seen clips where you jump from the AC box to the light, but I can't seem to jump that far.

And, more importantly, is it possible to hold a flare? All I can seem to do is throw them. Would be handy for night if I knew how to just hold them.

Played a fair bit now, and tbh I am very disappointed in this especially as I thought Dead Island was great.

Couldn't justify spending £55 on the PS Store for this so have the physical copy ordered.

Really looking forward to getting stuck in next friday looks like a great game from all the videos I have watched and getting some good comments from people that have played it.

It's an absolute blast, one of my favorite games.

2 things about this game are bugging me:
1) Not being able to have A as jump. I don't like using the should button and don't like that you can't change the controls for it. I'd rather use the face buttons for Jump, Kick and Melee.
2) The fact that the game seems to be based around avoiding combat yet sometimes you HAVE to fight and the combination of a stamina bar + degradable weapons makes fighting a chore.

Initially, it's a pain but as you level up and choosing the right perk, your stamina hardly hits the bottom with strikes and my weapons are so good I only need 2 good melee, a gun and something for fun. (Combat level 10, but felt easier by level 5 onwards)

Guys I hear that a few of the trophies in this game are glitched (PS4) - Anyone know if this has been patched out yet?

This game is really buggy! Twice I've had to quit today because I've glitched. Once I got stuck in a wall and then another time I was climbing up a tower and this happened
