Dying Light

was worse later in the game...when theres loads of them all together...I am trying ti kill one and didnt realise there was one outside the tower chucking rocks at me when I was stood on a raised bit..I just couldnt work out why I was getting damaged!

thanks for the tips guys. :D

another question.. can i/is it worth going back to the slums to finish off any side quests? can i do this at end game?

Yes you can go back in after completing the game, its worth getting all the side quests done so youre fully levelled

Then you can go out at night and the volitiles are a walkover :)

upgrade your weapon to the max and hit him in the head his helmet will come of pretty quickly and you will have no prob taking him down

Up until finding meat cleavers, I've felt most of the weapons I've had or used have felt very under powered. Where as a meat cleaver literally slices zombies up in one swing. :D

I always carry one gun around with me too. Either double barrelled shotgun or the police rifle.

Edit: I dont venture out at night at the moment @ andrewohare. Panic sets in when I can't see a damn thing and where I'm running haha. Literally just bolt for a safe house when the sun starts to set

lol the police rifles great but attracts the runners, get the shrooms to make night vision potions, work great

or stand by a light trap and make the Volitiles come to you and pick em off if it gets to heavy activate the light trap

Demolisher is easy, key to beating them is make them charge at you. Preferably stand in front of spikes so they take damage when they hit it (just dodge out the way), they get stunned when they run into something so you can run up and whack em a good few times. Their armour gradually falls off as you hit them until they die.

So...

Last night, i did a quest for the guy who runs the daycare center. i had to get some insulin for one of the kids. which eventually i completed. then he had me kill his wife in the basement. again which i did. i thought doing these quests was going to net me some weapon mods? im unsure of what to do now, as my quest marker has gone back to the main quest. where do i get my weapon mods? :D

Is the side quest still in your quest log? IIRC, the last step was to go and see the chap in his workshop, where you get the mod.

ah okay. i haven't checked my quest log. i shall check it when i get home later, cheers! :D

just did the quest where you had to put bombs on the gas ovens in that tower. and saw that freaky screaming mini zombie/baby zombie. kill it with fire!

I ran up and strangled it :)

For one day only on April 1st... ;) If you want to be surprised then don't watch the video I guess?

Got to Old Town for the first time last night in co-op. The Pit mission was hilarious fun with the April 1st "tweak" running. Zombies flying everywhere!

Finally got some weapons which have a higher damage rating than my Korek Machete - courtesy of my co-op partner who was getting rid of his "rubbish"... :p

Found a nice "farming" spot right outside one of the safe zones on top of a building. Just wait for the zombies to come to you and then smack em in the head! I went up 4 levels from doing that over two in game nights (plus the normal daily stuff) - it got insane at times mind!

Really enjoying the game now I have hit this section, the slums were starting to bore me. You really have to think about your route as mis-timing a jump whilst running across buildings can lead to insta death...

EDIT: One thing I did note was the framerate took an absolute dive when heading towards the mission which takes you to old town (still outside). Everything seems ok in Old Town though so maybe it was just caching or somrthing specific to that area.

completed single player last night. just shy of 20 hours, thats with literally no side quests done either. i think i did one or two of them. but mainly concentrated on the central quest. over all im left feeling very satisified! :D my goty so far this year.

I wanted to get this game but I'm put off by mention of motion sickness. Something I can mildly suffer from with certain games. Might wait till its really cheap and then get it.
