so angry.......

After Bugfield 2 I vowed to God himself never, ever, ever to buy an E.A. product ever ever again.

Allas I bought Crysis and indeed it is in crisis.

Im playing the level where I have to rescue the hostage from a school in the middle of a jungle and then booooom it crashes to desktop!!!

Im un-installing this piece of crap........

Rant over. Back to my wii at least that never crashes, stuff EA.......

Meh give it time tbh , things called a patch :) which ushally leads to fixing things... or breaking them :D

dont see how EA fit in to the crashing matter tbh ...as i dont own Crysis myself

Whoever's fault it is I got Crysis for Christmas yesterday and suffered two crashes in the first part of the first level - which i've played loads already on the demo xD arghhh

EA can and very likely will give deadlines for when the game must be ready, whether it's been fully tested or not.

Exactly & im sure that Crytek would not of released the game in such a state seeing as its a high profile game & a technical statement for their engine & the abrupt ending that keep i hearing about & 2 more to come announced after it was released & noting was said before hand, smells of EA.
And the same goes for NFS Pro Street PC performance before patch & the payfor Booster pack for console that came out 2 weeks after release & found to be already on the disk & the small 100k or so download just unlocks the content on the disk & the same content was given free to PC with the latest patch.
All this smells of not included at launch because of EA deadline & will be called a booster pack when finished as because a habit of EA.

Im glad i did not buy crysis & will hold out for the trilogy pack & get my moneys worth & buged fixed by then with the hardware to play it right!;)

I will apply caution before buying any EA published games on PC now & wait for the feedback as they can get away with releasing a bad PC version as its easier to fix later than on the consoles.

Yup Crysis wasn't finished, Crytek wanted to delay it so they could finish it off, but EA said no ******* way, and made em release it, so they are having to finish it off with patches.

did u play Bugfield 2 when all servers crashed every 10 mins?

More likely your system than the game as the majority of people had no issues like that. I've never had Crysis crash on me either.

Right. Care to provide a source?

I don't understand where this ' Bugfield ' term has come from..all games have problems / require patches from time to time and BF2 was no worse than anything else.

So what other bugs did it have ? You make out it was infested. All the mods done by people moaning about bugs had, guess what...bugs.

People tend not to get little things like facts get in the way when they are blaming EA.

Here are the facts:

1) The game was developed by Crytek
2) It was published by EA
3) Crytek is an independent developer and is not owned by EA

What we don't know is whether EA handled QA (sometimes publishers do this) and whether or not EA put pressure on Crytek to cut corners to finish the game. Even if they did rush it a little to get it out before christmas, how do we know it wasn't Crytek's idea? After all they benefit from getting the game released earlier too.

But of course most people don't think about this and just blame EA by default.
