E.A. have bent me over for the last time!!

crysis has never crashed for me, and i completed it.
BF2 has crashed a few times but the latest patch has sorted it out fine for me - superb game, my favourite

yea same, well i had and xfire crash which closed crysis and an overclock problem but nothing caused by the game itself.

dude seriously clam yourself, have you ever thought that your set up might be to blame aswell? dodgy drivers etc?

btw i'm not denying that there arn't problems with the game, wait for some patches.

Im playing the level where I have to rescue the hostage from a school in the middle of a jungle and then booooom it crashes to desktop!!!

funny this, i played the whole of crysis with old non-crysis drivers and no crysis patch (i finished it 2 days before release) and didn't have any problems, except falling through the floor twice.

hardly game ruining. overall i enjoyed the game massively and will continue to play multiplayer for a while.

Yes, but you know people. They'll uninformedly blame EA for anything.

You will be surprised just how much input a publisher has into the quality of their games. Very, very surprised. When you get the spare time, look into the PC game Breed. It's a classic textbook example of developer/publisher conflict that turned what was the definitive Halo-killer (it was to be released and compete with the Xbox release) into an unfinished, buggy mediocre game with little in the way of gameplay mechanics and balance.

Crysis was hyped up as such a realistic game, which it very well is. But as most of you point out EA did not care as the hype was made and EA knew most people would rush out and buy it. Best graphics = sell = win = profit.

We know its not the main point of gaming but it is an important marketing part.

If it was not EA some other company would have rushed it out too. But since it was EA lets get on the EA hate wagon.

I am personally waiting to purchase this game after a few patches in the hope people come to these forums and say wow this patch has finally fixed this game.

What is this patch of which you talk?

from experience most crashes are from hardware errors mostly heat releated

if you can consistantly repeat the ctd then its gonna be patched

I remember the 2142 patch which was released that had the 100% ctd after a round of titan which shows something is wrong with the testing

I've given up on EA due to Command & Conquer games crashes with cnc3dat error message. Yet there is a massive thread over at the official forums and many patches that mainly deal with balance issues -_-

An Electronic Arts software product isn't trustworthy in my opinion.

I'm sure the only reason why i still play the battlefield games is because 50% of the time I can't get the bloody games to work, be it cracked/unreadable discs, ctd's, punkbuster errors.

God bless Valve and the simplicity that is steam.
