*** E3 2011 Thread ***

That's interesting. The new Halo CE is instantly switchable between the old look and the new look. Like Monkey Island.

Can't wait for the BF3 MP reveal. Someone who works for EA on Twitter (I think) said a lot will be shown & will blow our socks off. So hyped.

Here's some disappointing news for anyone hoping for a sneak peek at Half-Life 2: Episode 3, or any other Valve titles at this year's E3 Expo. The developer/publisher has confirmed the details of its E3 presence, and it's a presence that doesn't involve demonstrating any games on the show floor.

Valve's Dough Lombardi is quoted on IGN 360 saying that "[Valve is] not showing any titles at this year's show. So no appointment is needed", though IGN notes that this doesn't technically rule out any announcements from Valve. Still, we're a little disappointed that we won't be seeing more from one of gaming's biggest names.

LOL, I wonder how much more they've had to lower the resolution to keep all this eye candy at 60fps.

I think they've gone the same route as Valve... use an old engine (source) and tweak it so it looks pretty.

Call of Duty games get slated for using an old engine but Valve games get a huge cheer (see Portal 2) :p
