E3 2013

that looks awesome i want that. hopefully they release that on pc

TBH if it's not, I don't care, I have such a large list of games that I want that it is making me want a ps4 since about half of the awesome games might not be out on pc :p

my list of games that I'm interested in so far is:

MGS5
Mirror's edge 2
Battlefront 3
Killer instinct
Halo
Forza 5
Drive club
Watch Dogs
BF4 (possibly)
Smash brothers
GTA 5
The Witcher 3
Dead rising 3
Dayz standalone
Titanfall
The division

and yes I know four of these games are console exclusives not on ps4 :p

Considering that the new architecture makes PC porting easier than ever before, why are there so many games missing a PC release? Especially always-online titles like Division. :(

What games are you guys looking forward to that haven't been covered yet? :)

I personally am looking to see DayZ standalone, Smash bros and hopefully Killer is dead by Suda 51 and also possibly even Fallout 4 (still keeping my fingers crossed :p)

Grand Theft Auto 5 being announced for PC after the end splash screen which shows each of the platforms at the bottom with PC there. :p :p

I suspect we'll be seeing a lot more PC ports for just that reason, but they wont announce it as coming tothe PC eventually in order to make the most of the XBox vs PS4 thing. My guess.

Im much more interested in the effect of AMD having both consoles, theyre already starting to hint at 'problems' porting to Nvidia cards in PC systems... But thats for another thread.

MS have a new method to stop all these pesky ports to PC

Its called XBox One Cloud Computing. Dead Rising 3 for instance uses the XB1 Cloud to generate & manage background level data streaming as well as game saves & other player & game world data. Quantum Break (new Remedy XB1 exclusive game which looks horrible) uses the same tech. This is the perfect DRM as well because the XB1 exclusive games use it & are built around this massive Cloud network of 300,000 servers MS say it will have when running at full capacity.

Its highly unlikely any XB1 exclusives arrive on another platform (even Win8) when MS are co-publishing all the games themselves alongside the publisher to share the risk on XB1 & gain full control.

Even if MS said yes port to PC the devs would have a huge recoding job to perform & many of these games could not work the same as there is no PC Cloud equivalent to draw on with the same computational power!

PC will still get some DX9 level games next gen with DX11 features like it does now but few games will look much different as not many companies will spend the high budgets to make a PC specific hardware heavy game as the highend PC market is tiny.
