E3 2014

Timed exclusives & console exclusives are pathetic in this day & age

The PC is so far ahead they should make it the target platform for everything then just downscale to work on the console toys whenever they finishing patching the PC version ;)

Halo 2 Anniversary is Windows bound I think it was shown running on a surface tablet with Win 8 last week.

Tomb Raider & Limbo sequel from Playdead will both arrive on PC sometime after the XB1 launch but this timed exclusive BS is pathetic as most PC gamers are not going to rush out & buy a console are they :(

Make it a timed console exclusive if you want but excluding the PC like they tried to do in the early years of the Xbox 360 is a chump move

This

Guaranteed the graphics/physics will be nowhere as good in the final game :p :(

What is with the obsession about games not being exactly like they aimed for? This has been the same for years and will never change. I dont care how they looked in a showcase demo of an unfinished game,I care if the game is good and will I enjoy it.

unethical

This, its a system purely designed to gain pre-orders and day one cash without people having the chance to see what its like first.

I know the answer to this will be 'just wait till it comes out', but you still know millions will preorder anyway so yes it is borderline false advertising, aka Alien: Colonial marines

Yeah that's what I'm worried about. But still.

You see those jaggies? Lack of textures.... I believe that is close to the final product in all honesty.

But Watch Dogs they showed loads of footage in the 6 months before release showing exactly what it would be like...

Where did I say watchdogs? :p Oh and don't get me started on review embargoes to cover up possible flops!

Rome 2
Alien CM
DAYZ (ok still alpha, but basically cashed in on £20 a pop on a vague promise and publicity)

The list goes on, and in a few years games will be better than andvertised cos people will vote with their wallets eventually!!

I just can't get excited about Microsoft's offering here. It's a lot of the same stuff they showed off in between rubbish TV \ Kinect garbage previous years.

Step in the right direction but sacking off their first party studios has done them in.

I don't want a system for timed exclusive DLC.

It is false advertising, if they can't deliver the product they show then why even bother showing a more advanced game in the first place?

Thankfully I didn't buy watch dogs or far cry 3 and if the division ends up the same, then ubisoft won't be getting my money again.

There is simply no need for it.

Yes but people like us would wait for reviews and judge it on that. Everyone else probs wouldnt even realise that the final game is nothing like it
